Gun control activists in politicians are doing everything they can to try to tamp down the Second Amendment Sanctuaries spreading like wildfire across the state of Virginia. On Friday morning, the Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action called on law enforcement groups to denounce the more than 100 counties, cities, and towns in the state that have declared (in varying fashion) their opposition to any new gun control laws coming out of Richmond.

Everytown’s Managing Director of Litigation and National Enforcement Policy, Eric Tirschwell, told Virginia television station WHSV that the movement is dangerous.

It mentions the hypocrisy of the governor and AG's sanctuary cities for illegal aliens as well as the flip flops of their support against then for them .
It is written in a manner that most of us can understand. Not too many big legal words.

One was a protest, the other is open defiance. It demonstrates that The asshole cant enforce his own laws , it sets the precedence for other states to do the same. and it wasn't promoted well , Its just another protest that wont work. This however, is a big fuck you ,in your face, I double dog dare ya to arrest us .

What we did in NY was a peaceful protest Hoping to change the governors mind by sheer numbers of protestors. It had zero effect. But we learned from it. We learned that peaceful protests didn't work, We learned That the courts in NY didn't work , still waiting for a supreme court case.

The National guard will stand down , the Police will not even attempt to mass arrest 15000 armed pissed off men .

Do you really Think the state police want to have a shootout with their neighbors? out gunned, out numbered? They are not going to kick the hornets nest. That could mean a lot of them not going home. They have a legal right to refuse on the grounds of conflicting orders. So they have a legal out, which they can save face with.

And if shooting did start, It would be a mess , neither side wants that . But Ill tell you one thing, if people dont grab thier balls and stand up , the states will fall like dominos, As Virginia goes, so goes the country. This is the pivot point in the battle , who ever wins this battle will dictate what happens in the next few years.

What can they do if the sheriffs do end deputizing their county's? What legal ground can the governor use to disarm them? Is he going to send the police to arrest the Sherriffs? He doesn't have any legal ground to stand on .

Then there's always the chance that if the guard did mobilize , they could be taken over by the Feds and sent to the southern border or told to arrest the Governor.

The Governor doesn't have any legal precedence to disarm the the state. He doesnt even have a good legal case . the law is on the side of the people . If they stand up they will win. if they dont they wont.

Have you ever been among a group of guys of a significant number , carrying projectile emitting devices in a non military formation?
I've been paintballing many times where there were from 500 to 2000+ players. . Ages ranged from 10 to 70 yrs old.
Lets just say that "stuff happens" , and common sense safety and courtesy may have overlooked once or twice due to adrenaline and excitement along with slips and falls , friendly fire, lack of situational awareness, egos, anger, cheating....

Not everyone gives the respect that the firearm needs. There are plenty of youtube vids of people mishandling their guns due to ignorance, lack of training, being "funny", or just plain being stupid.
There are threads on this forum where members comment on others at public ranges being unsafe.

The state would be foolish to do anything other than let them have the one day. They have the greatest advantage, time and authority, those folks have jobs and responsibilities to go back to, but who knows, Gov. Coonman may be into power flexing and the protest will go south, deep south.
The state can choose the time and place to make their examples and a media all too eager to amplify the statement they will make. The only thing that will save we the people is to actually organize into some sort of quasi militia and act such as volunteer fire departments do with mutual aid, when the alarm goes out they rally to the defense of their comrades. That is where the real confrontation will occur.

Its a joke , He added $250,000 to the budget specifically for gun violators, So I guess Hes pretty serious about arresting 10-15 guys.

That number is telling me he cant or he wont , Its a scare tactic which means hes losing other options , doesn't know what to do.

The VCDL is trying to organize things. There are a few threads on AR15 where upper management posts frequently.
There are also a lot of "We're gonna do it this way " groups and guys as well. Hopefully, they can get most to agree to the same course of action.

The first thread I read a few weeks ago by the VCDL inferred that they wanted people to show up in battle gear ( helmets, plate carriers, rifles slung, open / conceal carrying sidearms) .
They also asked who was has medic training and would have FAKs. Who had comms experience ( they're talking of setting up a net with FRS radios and Baofengs) .

They've since walked back the "show up armed" aspect and a bunch of guys are like " F-it , If I ain't packing, I ain't goin'".

My thoughts are that it is VCDL's party. Let's follow their lead. They've been doing Lobby day for 18 years but this one is very different and many groups realize that this is a line in the sand. Virginia is anticipated to be a turning point one way or another and will probably affect the entire country.

VCDL is sending out update emails to those that sign up for them and not posting too much info online for OPSEC.
There is still much confusion. As the day gets closer, they claim that they will send out group emails with more / better info.

You can't. You need to just assume they are always in your midst.

If you are among long time friends and family you are *probably* ok. But nothing organized in a short time frame can be trusted 100%.
