I'm gathering food and water for a month and praying for not having to go to the supermarket for a while. I really have no idea what will happen November 4 but if 2016 was any indication of how unhappy the left was I can fear 2020 will be much worse. Make sure your guns are oiled and loaded. I don't think the apocalypse will start for real on the 4th. I think the election will be too close to call, and the riots won't really get going until there is a clear winner projected. Might give you a couple extra weeks to reinforce your bomb shelter.

As Seneca said, "we often suffer more in imagination than in reality." Reality is probably more middle of the road of all the predictions to come here.

I think the most likely outcome is we see more of the same. Violence where it's tolerated, and not where it isn't. With a Trump win, the inner cities will just continue to be lawless as they'll be given free license to turn their anger into violence and destruction. We'll probably see some panic-ey shortages like we did during the mass panic in April. Considering everyone thought the world would end in April, and we got through it, I think we'll likely see a month of anxiety followed by people carrying on while the liberals burn their cities to the ground over extended time periods like in Portland.

End of the day, people have families they want to see safe. Good people like to see peace and stability first the foremost.

Their protein kit looks decent for lower sugar diets, but honestly you could probably buy a sealed bag of nuts and canned chicken for less. I wouldn't go too crazy with the ration style stuff if you can throw a box of cans and bags in a crawlspace that way. Probably any future additions just keep an eye on the grocery store.

I've got a chest freezer full of food we're trying to empty out before the move. But somehow we keep adding stuff and it never seems to get any less full.

I suspect that in February when we move we're going to end up giving a lot away.

When covid started and I got sent home from work, I loaded over 70 magazines. Some are even stored in shoulder bags, ready to go. I've finalized a working zero on every single center fire rifle I own.

I have 3-4 weeks of food. My girlfriend has another 8 weeks. Her plan would be to load up and come to me of course. She has a 4 door hatchback that gets great mileage.

I'm still trying to get her at least get a 10/22 or something.


I may store up some extra motor oil, anti freeze, brake fluid, a few easy to replace critical parts, etc. Thankfully, my toyota has a full sized spare.

Ordering a bunch of meat this weekend. Going to bring it to the freezer basically upon it being delivered to my house. Cooler is ready to go and ice packs are frozen solid to drive it to my parents. Should fill up my half the freezer -- so far the other freezer is mostly full, so that's 1.5 freezers of cold food ready to go.

I think it'll probably be less bad than April overall, but just squaring away a few more things. Paper towels are already starting to sell out though cause of those price gouging fucks on Amazon.

I'm not so sure. I feel a biden win will only embolden the rioters, knowing their "team" will soon be in charge of federal policy making. Remember biden said antifa was just an idea, and you can't arrest or prosecute an idea. The only pause will be for bad weather because these pussies don't generally brave the cold. The one time I consider myself lucky for living in lake effect snow territory.

Even if you don't get a chance to get it before supply is low, you can always just double up periodically. Basically, whenever an item is normally hard to get, I'll typically put in for a couple at a time. For example, I get these low carb wraps for a lot of stuff, and they're rarely in stock normally. Whatever excess I have, I food seal and put aside for the times nothing comes.

You have to sort of think in term of "What if I can't get this for two weeks when I need it. How do I even out the rate of delivery with the rate of want / need?" So you need to be planning a few weeks out. If you do nothing else, at least be thinking a few weeks to a month out, and you'll probably be ok as well.

Welcome to the team. We need as many good people as possible to be as armed and independent/self Sufficient as possible. Everytime I hear of a good person decided to take conscious steps to look out for themselves and their family I am glad. Seriously. The more people who are prepared for reasonable unexpected circumstances the better. The less threatening things are, and the more time you will give yourself to "figure things out" while others are panicking and losing their shit.

Well, being maybe the only member here who personally had, and has mostly recovered from covid, I can say have good food and be prepared for a long period of fevers. I have high blood pressure and another pre-existing problem. Thankfully I did not seem to be able to attack my lungs much. It mostly hit my sinuses, bone aches, and diarrhea that lasted as long as the fevers did.

My fevers at night lasted about 7-8 days. Actual sickness symptoms lasted about 10 days.

I still can't taste certain things well, but I'm mostly back to normal life.

I think something unpleasant is already happening, and it's putting people in perspective.

I've been reading articles about a lot of people who are making the move upstate from NYC. They all seem to have a similar tone. As much as the liberals are a little loony these days, a lot of these people are moving because of every day reasons. It's not the BLM shit that made them move, it was the fact their streets have murders and drug addicts, and they want something better for their children -- among other things.

I think this COVID shit is throwing a monkey wrench into the polling in a way I can't put my finger on. When a person is faced with a difficulty that really fucks with their world situation, it changes them. They might, on paper, express certain views.... but when they're standing there, in that voting booth, thinking of which bubble to fill... they're thinking about their kids. They're thinking about quality of life, not just quantity in their lives. These are all gears turning in everyone's heads.

It'll be interesting to see how things turn out.
