Cool. Sounds like that and a recoil pad for the stock with a bit more give than cast aluminum are up next. Will be putting some rounds through it this weekend.
Thanks. Yes, I added the bolt catch, seemed silly to not after spending all that . I was planning on something like the Troy ambi mag release next. Is it a simple add in? Is it one drop in part or you have to rig it to work. Where can I buy it? Thanks again.
Thanks for all the help so far. My SCR is ready to roll. Can't wait to hit range.
Fightlite SCR -Sporter stock.
Fightlite 13" Mlok handguard
Strike Eagle 1x-8x
Bradley elite adjustable cheek rest.
Anyone install both a Bradley cheek rest and thicker buttpad on the SCR? . I mean a cast buttpad on the scr? Looks nice but ouch after a while. I need a replacement recoil pad, not a slip on. Curious if any of you have.
Thanks everyone. All advice and points taken. Appreciate it. I've learned a lot in a short time. Definitely getting torque wrench for sights but leaving handguard and barrel to a Smith with proper tools.
With all the wisdom here I've come to the following conclusion. I'm definitely buying a torque wrench for my scope mounts and small jobs, but due to a lack of space and additional equipment (vice, vice block, torque wrench for bolt lug) I think I will have a shop do the floating hand guard...
