Total net worth is reported in a range, X to Y, I think, and that is made public, but a lot of it is only seen by their buddies on the Un-Ethics Committee.
If the employer is paying them under the table, then the .gov will love them tenderly.
BUT, as long as they run the info through the Fed E-verify, or are presented with a SS number and name, they can file the proper tax forms, and the .gov gets a cut.
