This is why I don’t go to these events. I want nothing to do with this crap. Get invited to all sorts of pride events for work and I never respond yes or no because it’s not worth my time. Deciding on a restaurant this weekend and we walked by one with a pride flag out so I said that’s off the list.

I’d have gotten up, walked out, and requested a refund. When asked why I’d have said I don’t pledge allegiance to the pride flag and our country wasn’t founded on pride. I’m sure they’d say no to the refund so I’d make some stupid comment and never return. Easy for me to say because I’ve never paid once to get into a professional sports game. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been to one. Only thing I’d ever attempt to go to again would be lacrosse.

Went to the bank and on the drive through window was an "African" flag with junteenth bs. I asked the teller why it didn't have the U.S. flag on it. Answer just doing my job. I replied that it offended me being a foreign flag. Response, just doing my job. I replied I know but if I don't say something the only thing to do is burn down the country like out west right now.
She laughed; it is the corporate heads doing this shit and employees beater follow or look for new employment.
We need to start confronting them in the street, at the whatever max waters said.

My company was putting up notices on the intranet to "participate in the buffalo pride parade and March with your colleagues"

Yup, nope. Hard pass on that.

I can't help but wonder if they would have the same support if I suggested a company approved 2nd amendment support march.

I think this goes to show that most people genuinely don't care one way or the other about gays. You do you, like who you like, live your best life. but enough with constantly shoving this in my face making me some sort of active participant when I'm just try to get through the day and mind my own business. There is real fatigue over pride this and pride that constantly shoved in your face at every turn.

I'm trying to figure out what the pride people are celebrating.

On the local news website (Batavian) I saw pictures of the pride parade in Batavia.
And I was thinking, I don't get it, what's the big deal? What are they celebrating?

I googled the word pride. And 98% of the results were about the LGBT stuff.
So in my opinion, not only did they steal the word pride.
They also hijacked the rainbow. A rainbow will never look the same to me. lol

I don't give a shit what those people do, but it would be nice not to have what they do shoved in my face at every opportunity. I mean, the arrogance of it all is astounding to say the least.

On a side note, when I type the word pride, spellcheck will change the letter "p" to a capital "P"

Or I look up the definition of the word pride, and get a LGBT rainbow colors symbol.
Apparently, the actual definition of the word pride has been changed to something else.

I've got "hey everybody, look at me, I'm gay" fatigue.

You know the answer to that. I ignore it all. Every event I get invited to, every emails to put pronouns in my signature, every ally email, every pride meeting I avoid it 100%. I don’t care they can’t make me and if they try I will refuse. Fire me, punish me and I’ll sue. The new DEI guy is nuts. Taking kids to a pride parade is disgusting.

You’re not wrong but the dems are worse. I am glad you bring this up because many complain about the left while forgetting the right does the same in many cases.
Both parties would do much better especially the republicans if they laid off a few things. Abortion being the biggest one that comes to mind for the right. I hate abortion and it’s wrong IMO but that’s my IMO and that shouldn’t be forced on others. The problem is people try to impart their Christian views and standards on others that are not Christian’s. You cannot do that and I’m a Christian. I see this firsthand many times and they cause relationships to fail as a result, politicians are no different. If they claim to be a Christian then fine hold them to that standard but they are not claiming to be so they have free will. Also this isn’t the governments job or role because the whole separation of church and state thing.
I don’t agree with and it should not be allowed for abortion up until birth nor should tax money be spent on it because it violates first amendment rights and freedoms. You cannot legislate morality and providing birth control and education would cut down immensely on abortions. A reasonable compromise should be made on a timeframe for abortions but prevention is key.

If stupid people were sterile, would we still need abortions? Yes, because sometimes it might be needed in a medical emergency.

At least the SCOTUS got it right, to remove roe v wade. It should NEVER have been there to begin with.

I’m not talking about medical emergencies, rape or incest. I’m talking about the women that just want one because kids don’t fit into their partying life or wants kids 5 years from now. Most abortions are not medically necessary and are for lifestyle choices.

I've always felt the best compromise is as follows:
First trimester = whatever the woman wants. It's up to her to explain it to the baby daddy, and it's her problem if she ends up unable to have a child later in life.
Second trimester = start getting serious. Get a couple doctors to agree that it is medically necessary. If you haven't figured out what you want in 3 months then carry it and get psychological help.
Third trimester (when the baby is theoretically viable outside the womb) = only if the fetus is dead or the mom is about to be. more likely have a c-section and put the child up for adoption. Then get psychological help (and lots of it!).
