The vote was 216–213, with only two Republicans—Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick and Mike Turner—breaking ranks to side with Democrats in opposition.

“This package eliminates $9 billion in unnecessary and wasteful spending at the State Department, USAID, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The American people will no longer be forced to fund politically biased media and more than $8 billion in outrageous expenses overseas.

Only two GOP senators—Susan Collins (R‑ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R‑AK)—sided with Democrats to try to block Trump’s efforts to restore fiscal sanity.

Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren has continued to condemn Paramount Global after the company agreed to pay $16 million to President Donald Trump in a settlement deal — with the senator labeling it a “meritless” lawsuit.
Warren (D-Mass.) appeared on Tuesday on MSNBC’s “All In” program, reiterating that the lawsuit settlement between President Trump and Paramount “sounds a lot like bribery.”
“With Paramount folding to Donald Trump at the same time the company needs his administration’s approval for its billion-dollar merger, this could be bribery in plain sight,” Warren said in a statement. “Paramount has refused to provide answers to a congressional inquiry, so I’m calling for a full investigation into whether or not any anti-bribery laws were broken.”

Might be fun to remind the Democrats of the 93 BILLION Dollars the Biden Administration shoveled out unaccounted for in the 75 days preceding Trumps return to Office, but that was last year's "pot of money" and that doesn't count in their tiny minds.

Also should point out that some Congresscritters are allowed to vote against Party lines in order to save face in their Districts, especially if there's a contested race.

Someone suggested, maybe it was on Glen Beck that 98% of the Government could be wiped out between Epstein and Obama/Clinton & Russia: Even the die hard, pro-Government folks seem to be OK with it....I am.

As much as I'd love that, I think a thousand bureaucrats who were "just following orders" would be far better in the long run.

Shit weasels in charge can do nothing if the drones below them recognize illegal orders and refuse to participate.

The deep state will find another Obama (or puppet like Biden) in a minute. It's the deep state itself that needs to be slain.

100% correct. One of the true travesties of obamagate (russiagate) was when the lawyer Kevin clinesmith was given a slap on the wrist for lying. If he had been given the maximum sentence then the rest of the weasels in government would start thinking twice about similar behavior.

The order redirects federal funding to prioritize “shifting homeless individuals into long-term institutional settings for humane treatment through the appropriate use of civil commitment.”

Back in the late 60s and early 70s, my aunt worked at an asylum. aka funny farm.
She was in administration, but was still privy to the crazy shit that went on there.
The insane shit that she told us about was crazy. Some people are fucking nuts.

Good on Orange Man Good if he can put the nutcases back into institutions like we used to.

I believe it was Pataki that fast tracked the funny farm closures in NYS back in the 80's. Funny thing, it was in the 80's when I was working we noticed an explosion in the homeless population in NYC, and every fuckin one of them was bat shit crazy. Everybody knew it and just turned a blind eye for the last 40 yrs. If they just order them off the streets, they will just move the problem from place to place. They need to open and use the rubber rooms again.
