Interesting but not really relevant to her legal troubles. Maybe gives motive but that’s not really needed to prove mortgage fraud but could help proving that she intended to misrepresent the information on the application. My wife and I recently did that when going for an auto loan. She checked we owned our house without a loan against it. I remember her asking what to out because the wording was odd. Salesmen asked me to review and sign and I caught it. His response was doesn’t matter we verify everything anyway. We signed and moved on. I’m not saying she didn’t do it on purpose but proving that is difficult to impossible.
