You are off to a good start but its not exactly that simple. Read up on "heat anticipators" to get an understanding how a mechanical stat works. If you really want to get deep into the weeds look into Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller theory. Those functions are what you need for a stat to work correctly not short cycle or over/under shoot

im not actually building a thermostat and i don't think this one even has a anticipator it it if cant work correctly as is and needs

someone to watch over it ... ( the Thermostat i have now is a honeywell digital programable unit ) i remember the mercury bubbles and the wire adjustment ( the anticipator ) ..

I just found out these little ESP32-S3 boards can talk to each other with no wi-fi or bluetooth .. ESP32_NOW i think it what i was called ..

now i can stick one under the trailer and a temp sensor on the water line and monitor the temp inside on a LED display ..

or should i order a sensor that actually goes into the main water line .. LOL .. WARNING WARNING FREEZE ALEART LOL
