That last big gun ban in Canada was repealed and my pals in Maine said you could hear the sound of shovels all along the Quebec boarder. Now, all the provences have gone to shit except one and their putting the pressure on them. Very sad.

Canada has outlawed certain big-bore rifle calibers. It looks like that Ruger #1 might be one that is banned.

Banned because of caliber. No one in Canada is calling it an "assault rifle". It's just banned because of the unusually large caliber.

If a person took their shot , then grabbed the barrel and used it like a club , then by the pure raw definition it could be used to commit multiple assaults hence an assault rifle

The last time I was forced to go to Canada, it was shocking. We went over the Peace Bridge in Niagara Falls. The US side of Niagara Falls is a ghost town. Very few people, and very few businesses anymore.
The Canada side you are greeted by weed shops, strip clubs, sex workers, bums, and sex shops. The place has went straight to literal hell.

Given the ineptitude, inaccuracies, and hyperbole our own Legislators have used to vilify guns and ammo, I'd say we have more retardation than they do.

Must have read where British Soldiers assaulted Zulu's with their single shot "Martini-Henry" Rifles and assumed the action of assault equates to the Rifle used as being a "assault weapon" never underestimate the stupidity of someone trying to instruct you on something they know nothing about.

Maybe...I've a Ruger No.1 in 45/70....Are those Level III Plates? Yea, that's nice.
Next one will be .458wm and a new Mouth Guard.

Go with the .458 Lott instead. You'll still need a new mouthguard.

I might be wrong, but without looking in my reloading books, I believe that the .458 Lott will shoot .458 WinMag rounds as well. Making the Lott chamber more useful.

I doubt Level IV plates would stop the Lott.
