Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker Demands $8.6B in Tariff Refunds from Trump​

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) demanded that President Donald Trump give the people of the state a total of $8.6 billion in refunds after the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s global tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Pritzker explained that he was demanding “a refund of $1,700 for every family” in the state, and that because there were roughly 5,105,448 households in the state, the total came to $8,679,261,600.

Pritzker added that his letter “and the attached invoice stand as an official notice that compensation is owed to the people” of the state, adding that if he does not comply, Pritzker “will pursue further action.”

Trump has AGREEMENTS with the nations he tariffed that are not illegal................SCOTUS just said legal agreements are legal, and to use other parts of the Trade powers relegated to him to Tariff the scum of the world.

USAID and other foreign aid theft, the theft of 20 trillion by the dems thru other social programs..Pritzker already has his blood money

Nothing with change except the union of socialist states..NYS, Mass, Illinois, Maryland, Jersey, Va, Oregon, Cal will crumble, due to financial starvation.

Fat boy is trying for a double win: Making the People of Illinois think that he's looking out of them by making promises of money they're damn well never going to get, and of course he'll blame Republicans for it...Slave Reparations all over again.
Limbaugh was right about everything including the predictability of the Left's stupidity.

Didn’t know Illinois was a major importer to the US.

Serious question about the companies licking their lips about tariff rebates are they going to send the consumers those rebates? I mean I am sure they and their shareholders did not absorb the costs of those tariffs.
