Extremely rare Beretta Cougar in .45ACP w/rail. These are known as the "sample pistols"! Only 13 were made as samples for the LAPD around 2005! They were never shipped and were discovered when Beretta was cleaning out the MD. plant prior to moving to TN! Of the 13 known to exist.....I HAVE TWO...
I own a SIRT Pro and use it! It is a great training tool that can be used almost anywhere/anytime, to train with. I flipped the green and red lasers on mine so I could use it with the Laserlyte cans that knock over when the laser hits the sensor! You can only use the red laser to get them to...

The two guns that you are deciding between couldn't be more polar opposites, lol! IMO, neither one is in the collectible category so I would not base my decision on that. I tend to agree with most that the 1911 is the more "enjoyable" way to go and the ammo is less expensive, unless you reload...
Like the title says: I am looking for .22 magnum ammo and would like to trade .22 LR, for it! Let me know what you have. I am located on Long Island!

Wow, I had no idea that some of you guys have to go thru this! Even here in Nassau and Suffolk county, you can buy as many as you want and just go down and pay the document fee for each one, then go get them. I have bought as many as 6 at one time!

I wear the 5.11 tactical 1.5" trainer belts when I wear 5.11 Strike Pants! I have 6 of them in all different colors, to go with the pants. I carry a holstered firearm every day on them........they work great!

Phazer, your calculations are spot on as far as costs go, to load .45 ACP! If someone happens to be able to buy components at an even bigger bulk/or wholesale price.........that number will come down, even more! If you have brass, .10mm will be right around the same price!

If you reload.....it doesn't matter if you go .45ACP or .10mm. If you do not reload then there is a significant difference in the cost of ammo, between the two. At retail store pricing: .45 ACP is around $22.00 a box while .10mm is around $40.00 per box.

I teach new shooters, all the time, and many are women. Have her put a Walther PPQ (.9mm) in her hand. The gun has incredible ergonomics and has "the best trigger" out of the box, on any handgun you can find! Smooth non-gritty pull, very short reset. All of these things will help her with her...
CFC, "THANK YOU"! I am glad that I can share some of what I have with you guys. I am on a lot of forums but have never really put up a lot of my collection, like I am doing here. For some reason, "our" new home here and this new format (along with a new attitude) just seems to feel good. My...
The HP projectile (when it expands) tears the flesh and creates a more devastating wound channel, as compared to a round nose FMJ. That small amount of expansion "could" be the difference between nicking a vital organ and stopping the threat as opposed to, a smooth entrance and exit wound that...
Reloaders: Post pics of your ultimate man (and women) caves! This will be a great place to get ideas from others who are as passionate about reloading, as you are! Let's try and keep this to photos and descriptions only, with as little commenting as possible. (OK, "some" commenting may not be...
Both of mine were flawless......never a single failure! Great shooters! I had a Keltec also, pre safe act! It was reliable too, just not as well made or as cool as the Beretta's!
Lol, exactly! I had two CX-4's (one in 9 and one in 45).......then came the unsafe act and I had to sell them out of state because they couldn't be made compliant. I loved those little carbines!

I've been taking a break from my "real" business and working in a gun store, for the past few months. (Doing it for love, not money, lol) I carry every day for work and always carry outside the waistband, at 4 o'clock!
This was sent to me tonight from a friend of mine, at Beretta! That is a Beretta CX-4 carbine standing over that POS! Way to go: NYPD, NJPD, FBI and ALL FIRST RESPONDERS! You men and women are my heros!
I load for my Coonan's (my avatar is one of them) and they need a very hot load to function! These seem like they would really pack a wallop, even in those guns!
I have the following brass:
300 WSM - 19 pcs.
338-378 WBY MAG - 5 pcs.
35 REM - 20 pcs.
220 Swift -20 pcs.
348 WIN - 10 pcs.
357 SIG - 135 pcs.
Willing/prefer to trade or will sell all for $40.00 shipped! I didn't put prices on each caliber, individually, because shipping would be more than...
Yeah, modern load data for plated bullets leans more towards mid- jacketed loads, then the older data which always said use lead load data. I use the jacketed data and usually end up somewhere around the 1/3 up from minimum area! YMMV!

The liberals will try and regulate anything they can to try and do an "end around" to limit our access to ammo. A few weeks ago there was an update to the NICS system and it was up and down (mostly down), for a day or two. We realized then that killing the NICS system is the quickest way to stop...
Bullet Guy and Big John.......I have read, liked and responded to both of you, in a few posts! You both have made some great points and have put things in these reloading threads that will help a lot of people! The best thing that you both did, was in the last two posts! You both took "an...
Lol, thanks for the compliment......I can assure you that:
1. This is my reloading room
2. I did not clip this out of a magazine
3. I probably load more ammo in this room, in a year, than most load in a lifetime.
4. It is pretty clean :)
While I respect everyone's opinions......like everything in life, we can agree to disagree! I started on a Dillon 550 and I disagree that you need a single stage press as a starting point! I feel that some people may get frustrated with the slow pace of using a single stage and having to...
If you are on or close to Long Island, you are welcome to come over and I can show you everything that you need to know, to get started. I have 2 Dillon 1050's, a Dillon 650, a Dillon 550 and a Redding T-7 Turret! It's not rocket science BUT, it takes concentration and focus. Once you get the...
The new Colt Competition model (available in .9mm and .45ACP) is one of the best values in a 1911 under $1000.00. Check it out! It has some really nice features and, it's a Colt!
