I have no idea. According to my FFL that NYS police thing started 9/13. Since judge signed it 9/15, maybe I got through just in the nick of time. That has to be it, no? No way it would come back this quickly, otherwise.

15 days. Mailed amendment 9/6, judge signed 9/15 and I received coupon on 9/21.

My prior three coupon turnaround times were three weeks. The coupon I just received took a month. During that month, two things happened: they went back and forth with my FFL about the correct description of the pistol (I didn't know this until I picked up the pistol), and Thanksgiving. Still...

3 weeks. Amendment snail mailed 10/4. I got a call from the clerk's office on 10/14 -- I'd forgotten to check the box at the bottom of the amendment. She checked the box for me after confirming I hadn't been arrested, etc. Coupon came today, 10/26. Judge signed it on 10/20.

Another data point on amendment processing times: Amendment submitted at County Clerk's office on June 10. Coupons and new cards arrived today, June 28. Coupons dated June 21.

I turned in my paperwork in the second week of March of this year. Fingerprints and interview at sheriff's office four weeks later. Permit arrived in the mail just over three weeks after that. Less than two months, all in. The investigator was a little on the hostile side, but, whatever.
