interesting. I ported my g34 barrel (only 2 ports). I run a stock spring. Never had an issue with it. K mod claims that their spring that they supply should remedy any issues.

Well I went with Loki. I didn’t want to pay the price for mod-K. Loki was like $65 with a 2 week time. I didn’t ask about lead. I’m Sure if you ask they would tell you based on orders they have. I didn’t get that far with them.

I read a lot about people not liking ported/comp barrels for CCW. Since the ports face up and sideways the muzzle flash is directed up and to the side. Making it hard to see at night when you shoot.

Honestly not sure. 34 is easy to shoot to begin with because of the length. I would like to see a ported 19 vs a comp 19. The 34 is a ALOT of fun to shoot if your just plinking.

Cant go wrong with an RMR. Rugged, reliable but just expensive.

I will say this. Porting will not make you a better shooter. But it will bring your muzzle back quicker to the target. On my 34 the red dot basically doesn’t leave the small RMR window. My shots are quicker but my accuracy is the same. I will check out the thread! At work now LOL

Loki tactical ported mine for $60. It’s a tradition Glock ported cut. 2 ports. As seen in picture Mod K armory also does what they call their “flat pack package” I think. They will do the port and slide cut. Their ports are small holes instead of what you see above and they do a bunch of them...

I also run a Surefire X300. Which is I think 4 0z and change. I tested the comp with the light, without the light and the comp, with the light and no comp and nothing at all. The weight does make a very small difference. But the difference between 4 oz at the end of a gun and a bullets gasses...

Compensators do direct gasses up and to the left and right. The added weight helps with muzzle flip but the total weight of the comp is less than 2 0z.
