Need to pickup a call and give this a go. My uncles property is loaded with them. He shot three of them pretty much right next to his house this year. The fields are all yote tracks. Not sure I want to spend the cash on a fox pro since IDK how often I'll be hunting them.
Heard chasing on Saturday but it was right before shooting hrs ended. Seeing a lot of scrapes and rubs but have only seen a button buck and doe so far. This is state land, I haven't hunted the private property yet. Going to hunt there this weekend and hope things are moving there.
I'm good with no salt, trashes your vehicle and makes working on them a bitch. Which reminds me, I need to setup a appointment to have my truck undercoated.
Did this recent ruling get rid of the social media stuff?
If not what do we have to list? They need my user name for each one I visit? Broome application says list any social media account used in the oast three years.
Only been out three times so far. Twice on state land and went to my private spot yesterday afternoon and sat on one of our corn fields. saw a bunch of doe and smaller bucks. A four point was chasing like crazy. At last light a large bodied deer was slowly working it's way through the...
Fun for sure, I have many of them. Only thing that sucks in NY is our hunting regs make hunting with silenced airguns questionable. Plus they get real expensive for high end ones.
Still at it, weight loss slowed down but my cloths are still getting loose which is nice. Went down two pants sizes so far and a shirt size.
Just finished legs/core.
Build a upper for my thorsden build lower. Still thinking on the barrel.
Minus that no other gun buys at the moment. Unless something catches my eye.
Possibly buy a new bow since it's been over a decade since I bought a new one.
Man the rut makes things interesting. Hunted a spot near the pond on the property I hunt. You can see it from the house and they like to hang out by the spillway and eat. Saw nothing all morning. Walked back to the house and a buck was in the damn driveway. A second later a doe zips...
A guy I know leases land right next to the property this one was shot on. He has trail cam photos of this buck the last few years. He went down in size a little, his live photos last year were insane.
Currently looking for a 16" barrel for my featureless build. White oak has nothing in stock and couldn't really give a time line for when they will have them again, rock river arms makes a couple of them but they are heavier.
Saw a company called hitman industries makes one but know...
Windy as fuck today. Passed a few smaller ones and my target buck decided to stay in the thick stuff. Going to hunt the same stand in the morning and see if he gives me a shot. Finally seeing some chasing here.
I can't complain about my rt6, reticle is nice, glass is clear, holds zero. Only complaint is the turrets are not clicky at all. Not a issue once setup but rather have a nicer clicky feel when sighting in.
Hot weather has me on the mountain bike more than the treestand this year.
Anyways my uncle went out yesterday and saw a bunch of bucks. I'm going to give it a go there Sunday probably. Opener for gun should be good.
At the private land now. Saw a few bucks on the drive here in the fields below the land I hunt, one I would shoot. Found a nice sized scrap and I'm setup on it now. Had a small buck chase a doe past me around 8am.
Unfortunately the wind is blowing like crazy now, not expecting to...
Too damn hot still. Most of the buck pictures on private land have been at night, recently have gotten some before 10am and just before dark. Nothing huge moving yet but some ok bucks. Have not gone to private land yet. State land has had very little activity, few small rubs.
Only got out three times so far. Saw doe and turkeys. Minus a rub on a small tree not much buck sign on state land . The pictures we are getting on private land are mostly at night still. Some nice bucks though and should be fun when the rut kicks in.
Can't wait. We planted a few nice food plots this season. Corn, turnips, clover etc ..... Got a late start and we never planted shit before so it was interesting figuring that out, must have did something right since the fields are looking good. Just put up another box blind on friday...
My great uncle swears he saw one in his back yard probably two decades ago now. My friend's also swear they saw one cross the road when they were driving home. Our one friend knew the girl that lives at the farm they saw it go I to and she said they have seen it multiple times. The farm...
So what does this change? Sounds like we still have to go through the normal NY BS to get the permit. Only thing that changes is we don't have to explain why we should have restrictions removed?
Crazy, bunch of Hunter I know have expensive semi autos and knock ducks and geese out of the sky every fall.
Quick YouTube, oh shit. Look at all those hogs getting shot with semi autos.
1) the people that often mock you are fudds or anti gun dorks that wouldn't know how to take the gun off...
Did full upper body workout and than got my fat ass out for a run. Yup that sucked as much as I remember lol. Did 4 miles at a pathetic pace but it will get better. Going to try and get out at least three times a week.
Can partially agree. If I trained the dogs and used my dogs to tree and take a cougar I would be pretty happy about it. Would I pay someone else to do it? No , seems most of the excitement would come from seeing your dogs work .
Guess it's a little hypocritical as I have zero issue shooting...
