    Shotgun Chokes

    Can someone tell me how the pellet pattern of a 20 gauge shotgun with no choke compares to a 12 gauge with a choke? Assume 1 oz loads in both cases. Seems to me the narrower barrel of the 20 gauge provides a natural "choke" no?

    Marlin 1894C in 357/38 ejection issue

    I have a relatively new (2020) Marlin 1894C in 357/38. I am very pleased with its side gate ejection and ease of disassembly. Lately, however, the case ejection is weak, sometimes requiring tilting the rifle to the right to avoid jams. Do others exeprience this? If so what is the fix? Thank you.

    Light strikes on .308 ammo.

    I have a Savage Axis II Precision in 308. I experience FTFs on several brands of ammo. Examination of the failed cartridge indicates a light strike on the primer. See pic. Light as compared to the indents on my other 308 rifles. The firing pin protrusion appears to be in spec at .059", though...

    Transporting Long Guns

    Q: Is it legal to drive my long guns from NY to Georgia?. The guns are compliant in both states. I am a NY resident with a GA home. I have a GA CCW. I drive straight through with the locked guns in my trunk. There is no ammo in the car. I do not stop or leave the car unattended.
