On the way home from the gun show with a buddy, he was telling me about where he had seen a bunch of guys shooting a few months before, open field, lots of trucks park next to the road...we are driving by the sa,e spot, and there they are again. Why didn't you invite us?
I think I bought mine when I bought the barrel (16" carbine).
If you cannot find any on ebay or someplace I will loan you mine for a bit (just north of Syracuse).
Sometimes I will see them on 24 hour campfire - will let you know if I see any around.
You cannot just neck up a 223 case with the regular 7 TCU resizing die and some imperial sizing wax?
I think that is what I do (almost sure of it, since I have reloaded for mine and do not have a forming die).
I stopped into a newish shop in Fulton tonight, the owner said they have a local machine shop that does slide cuts for them, was not really eager/ did not share their name. So not sure if its who some of you thought was doing custom slide cuts in Fulton, you could try going through Kress Tech...
I like huntstand, have a friend who likes onx.
I like the mapping, and ability to share stands etc with friends and track friends (kids) while hunting.
It does a good job with landowner info as far as I can tell.
Couturnix (spelling?) quail, or A&M quail.
Sometimes see them around Syracuse on Craigslist. They apparently do not tame well, but mature in 8 or so weeks.
P365?
Send me a PM if you have not sold it in a week or so - price is good although its not exactly the gun I am looking for.
I am just North of Syracuse in Central Square.
Have an FFL up here who is fairly priced as well.
Shot my first 2-3 years ago - super friendly, super low key.
Ask questions, and they will be answered kindly - they are there to encourage!
Only thing to watch out for - no gun out of bag except on line. Ask where the safe areas are for loading.
There is a lot of crossover between knowledge for Tech and General tickets - and the general has a lot more privileges. You have to take and pass Tech before you can take general, but you can do them the same day. I suggest studying for both at the same time.
I have gone 2x with a guy named Ed on "The Other Woman" Charters. Don't know if he is good or bad, but we caught a few fish both times despite it being poor times of the year. Out of Oswego, reasonably priced. 315 532-0693
Two different boxes of 5.56/ 223 for sale. Both stored in dry basement - small amount of rust around carry handle on ammo box on seams.
Looking for face to face transactions Cicero/ Central Square area off 81. Willing to drive and meet small distance.
Both boxes have been opened, no rounds...
No problem, its not going anywhere quickly. I have a Ruger carbine, but have enough brass to last.
Only will shoot the lead SWC in my Contender barrel - the Ruger hates them.
I do not think I have ever shot the 44 contender barrel.
Looking for xbr 8208 around Syracuse area, willing to buy if you know of any in stock.
I have excess (for now) Titegroup, CFE 223, Trailboss to trade, or maybe SP, LP, SR, LR primers.
Only want to trade for unopened cans please, FTF.
Worked up a great load for my son's new 6.5 Creedmore, and...
I have some empty cases all polished up that I can likely part with if you need some - would need to count but likely 50-100 I could spare.
I also have some lead bullets probably 240 Gr SWC from Daileys if interested.
Just got a Rossi Model 92 lever action, would love to start reloading for it ASAP. Brass in particular is what I need - seem to be able to find dies, bullets online if needed. Have primers and powder. Please let me know what you have, preferably FTF around/ north of Syracuse (Cicero/ Central...
SOLD - For sale is a new in box Henry Golden Boy 357.
$700 cash (might consider firearm trades, 9mm 1911, AR stripped lowers possibly)
Located north of Syracuse in Oswego County, prefer to meet locally, will be happy to work out FFL details.
Would consider shipping FFL to FFL for added cost...
on south side of city call intimidator sports - not sure what they charge but I know they are open since they are a hardware store.
everyone else I use is North of the city, likely pretty far out of your way.
Great forum over at ar15.com, in the outdoors section, ham radio.
Most of the baofand radios are okay, but they are not what ham radio is all about. They can do short range coms, but only to others who are licensed.
IF you are studying for tech, study for general at same time - lots more...
directions come with it - basically drop the resized case in and you will know if its over sized, undersized or goldilocks
lots of youtube videos - here's one from wilson:
Although you do not want to spend the $, I prefer Redding dies - made in NY and high quality. Other than those in descending order, I have RCBS, Lee, and Lyman. They are usually all fine.
Jay (or anyone else) I would be happy to help people get startedv- I live in Oswego County - but sometimes...
