Selling a lightly used Frankford Arsenal Quick-N-EZ Case Tumbler that comes with an already opened but large bag of walnut tumbling media for $40. Located in the Buffalo Southtowns.
I'm looking into getting some custom molded electronic ear protection for USPSA/target shooting in general and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the process. I am reading in different forums that this is something insurance may cover under "hearing aids" and would love to not...
You would think so but I’ve been sending emails and texts to Craigslist posts like you wouldn’t believe. They either have one and want an unrealistic price for the anvils condition and weight or don’t have one at all. Only one person I’ve found with fair prices that sells them and he’s currently...
I did get ahold of a 1" ball bearing to test whatever I come across. I've done a lot of reading in the past week to brush up on what to look for when buying an anvil. However, many people I have contacted are asking $5-7/lb for anvils that are in rough shape so I'll be waiting until a realistic...
Up for grabs is a vintage Daisy No. 195 Model 32 "Buzz Barton Special" BB Rifle. The Blue Book Description is: BB/175 cal. lever action, thousand shot, straight barrel and plunger housing with a patch shoulder underneath, blue, cast iron lever, rear sight tube, walnut stock with brand "Buzz...
Awesome thank you! I’m gonna look around and see if there’s sections to be had in the WNY area first and ask everyone I know. Something will turn up eventually I’ll just have to be patient.
The I-Beam idea is great, would probably work better or at least give a larger surface that railroad track, just wonder about the hardness. I may give them a call.
Thanks for the info Highland, where is this steel place located, it is close enough to drive to in the WNY area? The $20 is certainly affordable and attractive to get started on
I contacted that seller by email about that anvil and got no response unfortunately. The post asks the buyer to call between noon and 9pm but did not leave a phone number to contact them by unfortunately. I emailed the seller several times with my information as well as that their post does have...
That would be awesome if they still had some at a decent price, I really appreciate that! I did search craigslist for railroad track and found nothing but I would definitely buy a piece of track to get started on!
I'm looking for a moderate sized anvil between 75-150lbs (smaller would also work) to get started with knife making and blacksmithing. I want to be upfront, I can't afford a high dollar anvil like $3/lb but if you have an anvil that you are willing to sell, know someone who does, or have seen...
A little update...Decided to try and get fancy with a Dremel and wood burning kit over the holiday break and figured I couldn’t screw up my P320 frame too bad because I could always order another one for $40. It was my first time stippling and I’m pretty happy with how it came out. I went for...
Sig has free shipping today only. Thought I'd throw this on here for anyone just looking to buy a hat or T-shirt like myself that can't stand to pay the ridiculous shipping fees to get it here.
Charging handles are strictly for competition and serves several purposes. For example, if you have to start with the gun unloaded, it is faster to use the charging handle to release or rack the slide while bringing the gun up to shoot. It is also a clear advantage when you are starting with the...
Now that's a race gun! If you're looking to get into competition shooting, your CZ P07 is more than adequate. Not sure where you are in New York but theres plenty of clubs that run Steel Challenge and USPSA matches monthly. IMO it's some of the best fun you can have with a gun.
Comfort is everything and that's individual to the person. I think that trumps any caliber debate when it comes to a carry gun, you have to have the gun with you for it to be useful.
CZ makes some very aesthetically pleasing guns thats for sure. I don't own any CZ's yet but I have a list of them that I'd like to own, starting with the Shadow 2 in urban grey.
I consider manual of arms to all be the same for any striker fired gun that doesn't have a manual safety. Makes no difference what brand it is to me and I prefer no safeties. I meant more weight wise, is it that much more significant weight in your opinion?
I wear a lot of gym shorts because of my job and clothing requirements for my schooling. How do you think a G 43 carries in those? I almost always carry a Ruger LCP in the pocket when wearing gym shorts and I don't know how I'd feel going any bigger.
I like the idea of a WML on a gun for home defense so I'm seriously considering it for carry as well just to keep it easy instead of constantly adding a removing a light. When I get my TREX Arms Raptor in the mail and see how I like the carry of it (which I think I'll love) I'll determine if...
I had my eye on the APLC only because it wouldn't stick out past the muzzle of the gun so it wouldn't change the way the gun carries as all. I might end up contacting TREX Arms to see if they'd consider adding that option or not.
They make a holster for the APL but not the APLc or "compact" version. They only make that holster for Glocks which I think it says in their drop down menu.
I think the G 43 has become popular simply because there has been a significant shift towards single stack 9 mm's. Kind of a flavor of the year sort of thing. I do agree that the thin profile of a single stack makes it easier to carry especially for those of us who aren't the thinnest but I...
No light currently. All my small pocket carry guns I see no need for the added bulk. However, I am considering an Inforce APLc for my Sig P320c. A little disappointed TREX arms doesn't make a holster for this gun plus the APLc as I always try to be somewhat size conscious with my EDC but I may...
First gun shot besides a BB gun was a Remington 1100 28 gauge with a shortened stock around the age of 10. Learned to shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays as a kid with that gun and it became a passion ever since. First gun I bought myself was a Glock 34 to get started into USPSA, Steel...
I can attest to the quickness of the assisted opening. My favorite knife is a Benchmade Emissary and it is lightening fast to open. Just one more option to consider when buying....
Where do you guys find the lehigh defense loads? I am currently a hornady guy but would like to start carrying the extreme penetrators for my 380 as it is a normally under penetrating round and the extreme defenders in 9mm +p.
I do agree with Bullet guy if you're looking for a pocket gun keeping it small and light is important. I've heard of people using these 9mm guns as pocket guns but I wouldn't go any bigger than 380 for pocket carry myself. Do consider though the sig and kimber 380 models, the p238 and micro 380...
I personally would like to add a Sig p938 to my EDC list someday but I don't think you can go wrong with a Kimber or a Sig. I would personally pick the Sig because it comes with an ambi safety and night sights. The night sights would be more of the deciding factor for me as I want them on all my...
I hate to say it but maybe if more of the country feels the pain of NYer's then maybe there will be more outrage and change for all. I was always convinced that the NRA let NY and California fall because of a lack of support from the rest of the country when a lot of BS laws got pushed through...
I know you're asking dubleuhb but I would go with the paramilitary because of weight (1 oz lighter) and cost. I would have a hard time putting a rift to hard use because I love the aesthetics of a knife like that. Paramilitary to me is a quality hard use tool that will serve well. Not saying...
These are what I run for competition but I believe they would make great mag pouches for practice as well and would fit any double stack mag I think. Not tactical just practical.
If you're going to get a dedicated competition rig setup, I recommend a double alpha inner and outer belt along with ghost inc mag pouches, you can change the orientation and retention of them in several ways.
