What should I expect to pay for reloads per round? They are brass reloads hand loaded. Friend wants to sell some but neither of us has a clue as to average price per round.

That’s a touchy subject as most folks are likely hesitant to buy reloads. I’d look at it by the component price as a starting point if you plan on buying them.
ETA: a quick look at once fired brass and coated WC bullets are around .20 combined, another .10 for a primer and a couple of cents for powder.

Recent reloads? About 30-35 cents a round. Plated bullets maybe a bit more. It depends mostly on the expense of the primers.
Loaded back when primers were 4 cents each? 25 cents each if the brass was cheap.

If he has the equipment to reload he can simply pull the bullet, weigh each charge then reconstruct the round if he's not 100% trusting of the reloads. Hopefully the powder type was documented.

When I first started reloading a buddy and I went halves on a Rock Chucker and spent a couple evenings a week loading .357's.
On Saturday afternoon we would go out to the sand pit and dare each other to be the first to try the latest batch.
We gauged the quality of the loads by the amount of muzzle and cylinder gap flash we got on sunny days. Then we would to soothe our hands by wrapping them around tall cold ones somewhere.
We've gotten a bit more judicious over the years.
