Ya they fixed the spelling with the last court decision. This was the same decision that made 10 rounds legal instead of seven. Therefore if it is a featureless rifle it can't have a brake or threads on the barrel.

Muzzle breaks are not compliant. Nothing in tbe law about muzzle brakes.

The typo was included in the law suit against the state.
If someone were to look for "muzzle brake" inside the law to see if they are included in the so called AW classification, they would not find anything.
Also it is not clear where ported barrels or press fitted muzzle brakes would stand as there are no threads in the barrel.
SAme thing for a ported barrel sleeve. No threads what so ever.
Or even if the threads were at the muzzle but the muzzle device is the gas block or part of a gas block that would also be compliant.

As far as I know if it's welded and pinned your good to go. Same with adjustable butt stock. Call all star tactical they provide this service to make them compliant. You could also call dds ranch they do a lot of compliant ar's.

Why welded? There is nothing in the law about welding anything. not even under the previous ban.

Lots of misinformation here. In the first decision, Judge Skretny struck it from the law due to it being misspelled. Break/Brake.
When it went further to the Federal Court of Appeals, a 3 judge panel reinstated the counting of Break/Brake as a feature.
The last decision of the highest court is the only one that counts.

Some say muzzle brakes are non compliant. If you have a fixed mag AR, you can have a muzzle brake, an adjustable stock and a pistol grip. If it isnt a fixed mag and its semi-auto, then its considered an assault weapon with a muzzle brake attached.

Don't know, it could be. What is a grip? do you know? A flashlight bolted to the receiver should be ok.
and what about conspicuously beneath the action? Bullpups are exempt for the so called AW BS classification as the thing you grab is under the barrel and not the action right?

I'm talking about an FFL with a brick and mortar shop who unknowingly is selling something that he thinks is legal according to an old ruling that got overturned.
I would inform him and print it out for him. After that, it's on him. He may not truly know and appreciate you potentially saving his ass or he may not care in which case you covered the first base.
It's the descent thing to do. If he really didn't know, he may end up like that Jackson dude who is now screwed out of his business and freedom.
