Wait what do you mean, I've clearly paid for a handgun and was at the range shooting it the same day.
Shit first handgun I bought here in New York went like this.....
Got letter in the mail said yo dog you got approved (im paraphrasing)
Took that letter same day to the pistol permit office, signed a paper got my picture taken, card printed off, gave them their $4.00 for the license and walked out, with in 10 min I was at a local gun shop
Said that glock 19 please thank you, gave them cash they gave me my purchasing stub.
10 min later i was at the permit office, handed them the order form, gave them $4.00 they updated and printed off my new card said have a good day.
10 min later picked up my glock 19 went to range.....

Straight garbage.. this is why I think it's funny when some random person says some challenge to repeal the safe act could be coming and then people buy into that shit.
None of these people are fighting or pressuring the issuing judges or voting them out when it comes to something simple like adding a handgun to the license
Show me anywhere in the NY penal law that the judge has to approve someones purchase (if it exists, which it doesn't, I'm sure @Willjr75 knows where to find it) and yet people let that shit happen...
Agreed but in the penal code but it's been directed from Albany. Any guess who pushed that? Our newly elected Judge who ran a very pro gun campaign started reviewing every purchase, because of the directive. There was such a massive push back from the locals that it went away.
I know one of the judges in the Rochester area (was at a Saturday night class at the firing pin LLC, in Bergen. Awesome place) and they were talking about one of the near by issuing judge who didn't issue anything to anyone for years.
Well the judge finally got so much shit from everyone about it that he said fuck it and approved every application (within the law of course) that came across his desk. Caveat he waited to the very last day that the law allows (what is it 60 days or something) and only did restricted hunting and target licenses no unrestricted carry.
The corruption and abuse is mind boggling.

Why anyone would suggest purse guns as a good concealed carry option is beyond me.

I'e owned a LCR in .357 it was really nice but honestly does not offer any real advantage over a similar size autoloader. With that said baby mouse guns also don't make sense to me

Not if you're doing it correctly in my experience.
I would have to disagree. I have been trying to figure out how to CC at work and all I'm left with is a tiny gun. I have a G43 and have yet to figure out how to make it work. So once extra money comes available I will start the search for the smallest 9mm autoloader that I can find.

Will, I don't carry while swimming, nor do play basketball, I'm old. 
I carry a full sized, vacation on private property, don't live in Key West, and can readily find numerous ways to conceal without much effort. 6-8 weeks of real heat in the summer is all we really get in this state, and a good linen shirt covers that small patch of time when concealing is an issue due to weather. The real application of these purse guns is back up pieces for guys on the job, which doesn't apply to most of us. I've average sized hands, and can't imagine how someone with large mitts would ever handle one of these compacts comfortably or effectively.

LCRx is a sweet carry. Put Ruger ARX 38's in it and is very easy to conceal. Change out the front sight with fiber optics and a versacarry and you are good to go. Fits jean pocket very easily. Only drawback is 5 shots.

Some people can't carry in certain situations a full sized piece. Some are forced to ankle carry due to their attire or just simply cannot carry a heavier gun due to the activities they are doing and have the choice of either not carrying or carrying a gun with not the most optimal grip length.
It's a compromise to not carrying at all in certain situations. That's the purpose of these mouse guns.
