A bit of good 4th amendment news (evil guns are mentioned)

In Key Decision, DC Court Upholds Fourth Amendment

"In a Nov. 8 opinion, the court overruled a lower court decision and held that an Iraq war veteran, 1st Sgt. Matthew Corrigan, may pursue his claim for monetary damages against the District of Columbia and certain individual police officers after those officers violated his Fourth Amendment rights by ransacking his house—twice."

[My only suprise in reading the article is that they didn't kill the dog while they were there. ]

This is a great ruling. The Soldier did nothing to deserve this kind and of intrusion of his home. I am very glad and I hope he gets his day in court against the officers and department involved.


As for the PTSD and these hotlines for servicemen, these hotlines are very much needed. They should not only be manned around the clock, they need to be manned by people that are qualified to assist these combat soldiers coming home. This touches very close to home for me as well as many others who served.

The suicide rate among Soldiers and marines is absolutely out of control.

I hope this man gets all the assistance that he requires and deserves.

Now add women into that stat and their suicode rate is astronomical. Nice to see that Obama wants to make them register for the draft. These politicians could care less about our vets.

As for the ruling it's about time. I also say the first search was u constitutional even if he was attempting suicide. They had no right to enter his house. He willing came out. Why go in. It's about time something good came out of DC. It does not happen much at all n
