Both look to be pelican Cases. I have two black ones like in front. Bought used for $125; added $70 in new foam to replace center cut section. My black one holds my PRS match rifle, 26” barrel plus 3inch muzzle brake in chassis. Way too big for an M4, most likely light color one behind black case was for m4

They are tough as anything, but also heavy as all get out. Mine are generally only used to fly

I have a Love-Hate relationship with "Hard Cases" (and Pelican is likely the best) they're great to pack things in, but they're slippery and will slide around when transported or stacked. Units have (or should) have these chests specifically made to transport a dozen or so M16's or M4's We used to see them all the time when Units were bringing in Rifles for Armorer Inspections...I could see where some nit-wit stacked a dozen Harddig or Pelicans atop one another and didn't secure the cargo cover, and one bounced our, as anyone that's ever ridden in the back of a Military Vehicle will tell you there's ZERO suspension so if you ran over a Dime you'll feel it.
Unless traveling by POV, Soldiers should have had their weapons about them; even in a government Van, they'll stack 'em in the back somewhere...If they were High Polished D&C Rifles, then shipping each in its own case makes sense...somewhere somebody screwed the pooch and is going to get neutered for it.

I was going to say, they look like Pelican cases. An organization I volunteer for bought two (not for guns) and they are built like tanks. Heavy as hell. Thankfully, the ones we got come with handles and wheels lol.
