Think about why they want people to come here illegally. Who stands to benefit?

It's for a few reason.

• Illegals (might) be getting counted illegally in the census, boosting the number of members of the house that liberal states have / control over the government.
• The dems are hoping the illegals get legalized, so they can flood their voting ranks / solidify power. That's why amnesty is never an option / on the table, ever. It would mean one sided control over government.
  • All the people that would be legalized, would almost certainly have to vote democratic -- they're low income, dependent on the system people, mostly. They won't bite the hand that feeds.

I bet if you said tomorrow "OK, if we legalize all these people, they don't get the right to vote in exchange for the amnesty, and their descendants can never claim the right to vote. Only to services, and taxes, and everything else that puts a strain on your liberal states, but they don't get the right to vote" -- the dems would be up in arms. That's because they care about the votes, not the people, and their true colors would come out.
