The marching band of Alabama's oldest private, historically black liberal arts college has accepted an invitation to perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inaugural parade, organizers said.

Talladega College's band will march at Trump's inauguration as other historically black schools such as Howard University, which performed at President Barack Obama's first inaugural parade, said they won't be marching in the Jan. 20 event.

"We were a bit horrified to hear of the invitation," said Shirley Ferrill of Fairfield, Alabama, a member of Talladega's Class of 1974.

"I don't want my alma mater to give the appearance of supporting him,"

I really hope not. I have no problem with them being there at all. Until the past few years this country was clearly making huge headway in its racial divide. Then basically trayvon case came along, plus a few others after, and a few assholes on the far left have made it their mission to sink race relations again, and they're doing a damn good job at it, too.

I agree with most of what you say.

I would add:
This race bullshit started with the Chief Racist, Barack Hussein Obama.

He single handedly turned race relations back by probably 1/2 century. My biggest disdain for obama was that he had an opportunity to further race relations along, instead he found it to be his responsibility to act like a punk-ass thug and drove a wedge wherever he could. He spent so much time and energy destroying race relations that he had zero left in his tank for anything good to be done.

I'm sure Dr. King is turning over in his grave, with what this punk has done!!

Obama was the token black for the democratic party . What do we know about Obama today ? The greatest "orator " of our times according to the left. Skills that take others decades to polish .. High school debate teams ... At the university level widespread recognition for a person of this so called talent ... Yet what do we know about this man .. Nothing .. but what HE has written about himself ... written in his early 20's .... The man that wins a Nobel peace prize for just showing up. ...Has to be the luckiest person in the whole world . He is a man that everyone remembers ...Today... but no one seems to remember him at the university level when he attended . A man that has had 2-3 different names ....A social security number belonging to a dead person ... Every record while attending the University sealed . 100 years from now you could see a vastly different Obama . ... once we know the truth ....

I've had enough of this politically polarized crap. The proof will be in the pudding (read: policy and subsequent results).

So...the Trump administration should insist that there be nothing more than a simple march in which the new president can wave and thank the people. Bands from the Army, Navy, and Air Force academies can march and perform. After that, Trump should insist that he intends to get right down to work. The rest of inauguration day should be spent in The White House signing documents to repeal all of Obama's executive orders.

Let Trump tell everyone, "The previous all-show-and-no-results administration is leaving. We intend to start work immediately. Parades and galas are a waste of money and do nothing to help the people of America."

If things work as we hope, then in 4 years we'll see who's begging to be at the inaugural balls.
