Democrat ex-Army captain becomes an unlikely challenger in Missouri Senate race thanks to video ad in which he assembles an AR-15 blindfolded in just 32 seconds

• Jason Kander, 35, is challenging incumbent GOP senator Roy Blunt, 66
• Recent poll has Kander two points ahead of Blunt in upcoming election
• Gained popularity thanks to an ad about gun control released last month
• Kander explains why he favors background checks while assembling rifle
• A Democratic Senate hopeful could pull off an unlikely victory thanks to his gun skills.
  
  Jason Kander, 35, is challenging incumbent Republican senator Roy Blunt, 66, in the race for Missouri. Kander had trailed behind Blunt for most of the race - until a 32-second video ad turned the tables.
  
  The clip shows Kander, a former Army captain, wearing a blindfold while effortlessly assembling an AR-15 assault rifle.
  
  At the same time, Kander explains why he is in favor of background checks - so that terrorists 'can't get their hands on one of these', he says before tilting the near-finished AR-15 upright.
  
  'I approve this message,' Kander says defiantly after putting the gun together, removing his blindfold, 'because I'd like to see Senator Blunt do this.'

Bull$hit.

Should note that while he is a veteran, he was a military lawyer. Just like Joe Biden's son and the hero Humayun Khan, we paid for their education and they mostly stayed within the safe areas. Khan truly was a hero for volunteering to get out into the field. And I am sorry Biden got cancer.

The cynic in me thinks that if you want to build a career as a successful Democrat political and are burdened by being a white male then you pretty much have to serve in the military to build up your resume. Getting the law degree for free on the taxpayer's dime is just gravy. Any fool can learn to break down a rifle in a few hours... and honestly it is a helluva good piece of marketing. But he's still a no-good Democrat anti-2A SOB.

when that first came out months ago i commented on it he was traitor "in favor of background checks -" .. your Oath was nothing to you ..
