You really believe the SPCA should have full arrest power with no checks? The same SPCA that begs every commercial break for more money for the sad puppy dogs? Bullshit. I am as big of an animal lover as anyone but this is crazy. This isn't tin foil hat shit. I don't even like the length of rope they have given to cops let alone the SPCA for fucks sake. You are either full on law enforcement or you are not. There is no way the SPCA should be full on law enforcement. There is way too much emotion involved with them to carry out anything honest. It should be mandatory that law enforcement is involved in any arrest that is being pushed by the SPCA. They cannot be trusted to be even the least bit impartial. Not that cops are either I guess. Fuck me we don't need more cops. We need better ones. Ones that are not just revenue agents. Not much serving and protecting these days.

You know, they way the DEC and Border patrol are somehow allowed to conduct warrantless searches that would be forbidden to normal cops.

Yes I do. They investigate crimes involving animals and make arrests/summons for those crimes.

There are armed sworn ASPCA LE. They go through an academy. Their power of arrest is limited to animal cases. And yes, they carry firearms. It is NOT EVERY EMPLOYEE or volunteer of the ASPCA.

Until you see how some people mistreat and abuse those animals for no reason other than they can. And they deserve to be brough up on criminal charges and do time for their actions.
