When I've attended rallies in D.C., we were told that the D.C. park police are quite serious about their policies regarding what "sign supports" can be made of. Thin wood and PVC are acceptable. Anything more solid is prohibited. I never saw any run-ins with police at those rallies, though. I only saw "protesters" taking pictures with police.WTF
did you hear the Metal fall at the End?
hmmm, whats that for?
I feel like I'm living in a Monty Python film.
And the cop says, "pick up your pole"........twice.WTF

Law enforcement is so afraid of repercussion that they will not even unarm protesters for fear of more protesting.
