All the coppers think they can. I have spoken to the ATF and the NFA. regular cops cant get a stamp. The dept can and they can issue NFA weapons, but the dept needs the correct paperwok ("stamp")
But by all means give it a try. There is a local sheriff that has his paperwork submitted for a can, ill let you know if the NFA approves it.....
