Anyone identify any of these firearms

SWMBO younger brother has reached out to me for help. He has some long guns that he needs to get rid of.
Very odd stuff that he has carte around from place to place. Apparently all were in the family and as the only male descendant he has them. He knows nothing about firearms and I am pretty much a handgun person. My experience with log guns is minimal.
Adding to the challenge is the fact that he just moved to Montana from New Hampshire. Guns are still in NH and I am in Newfoundland for another month.
I have told him that most of them are likely "wall hangers".
Looks like odd stuff to me so here are some Pics.
Any and all comments ( even the wise ass ones ) are welcome.

I told him I thought that this one is an Arisaka. Probably a model 99. I suppose it could also be a Model 38.
He said there were two but one is missing!!
I asked about the bolts and he said he had two but has not found them!
His Dad was a Marine and served in the Pacific. I am guessing bring home rifles.

I am pretty sure I have seen a picture of that first one in one of the books I have. It looks very familiar.

Any stamps marks will be helpfully. Check under the wood too. 3 looks like an arisaka. I had one for a while don't remember exactly what it looked like. Should be marks on top of tge reciever

Yeah, some repair on that stock! Was before the days of epoxy and super adhesives.
On that particular firearm my thoughts were that if the weapon is in any way unique someone else might be interested in some of the hardware
for a restoration of another like firearm.

Thanks, interesting reading about Manton. Your eyes are much better than mine. Greener who made the shotguns used by Wells Fargo as "coach Guns"
apparently was the son of another Greener who had worked under Manton before heading out on his own. Looks like the Manton Company is still in business.

First one is a underhammer percussion rifle. Some people call that style a Buggy Gun also. Most likely from the 1800’s. Thought it was a cane gun with removable stock but it wouldn’t have a front sight.

#2 is a J Manton black powder flintlock shotgun that’s been converted to percussion. Should have Damascus barrels but I can’t tell from pics. Missing the ramrod lol!

#4 could be another J Manton but can’t tell by pics. Whatever it is it was converted from flintlock to percussion also.

I am quite impressed with the knowledge and information showing up here.
Hopefully when I get back to the Gulag I will be able to get a look at them and see what
Marks may be found on them.

It's a Type 38. (6.5x50 = = 6.5 Jap) I'd be interested if he wants to part with it, especially if he can find the bolt. If he just wants more info on it, I'd need more pictures.

Thanks,. I am trying to work out the logistics of getting to see these guns and take photos or get better information from the owner. I am not sure our paths will cross when he returns to NH for a brief period of time on the 15th.
Will keep you in mind.
Just curious, from the not very detailed photos what brings you to conclude it is a type 38?
