But what matters is that if you thought the apocalypse would exempt you from paying taxes, the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has some bad news for you. Because not even the literal end of the world will stop them from taking your taxes.

Yes, it's true. The IRS has an apocalypse plan, and they will make sure everyone – assuming they are a US citizen who doesn't make use of the normal ways of legally avoiding paying taxes – pays in the end.

The IRS has actually made plans for this too. As documented in Garret M Graff's book Raven Rock: The Story of the US Government's Secret Plan to Save Itself – While the Rest of Us Die, the Federal Reserve has around $2 billion stored away at a bunker in Mount Pony, Virginia. This is supposed to last 18 months to keep the economy going, as after 18 months they should have mints printing hard currency again.


Supposedly much of this $2 billion is in the form of $2 bills.

The IRS should teach the rest of the government a thing or two. The first thing to shutdown when covid 'hit' was the government (at every level). God forbid the weather sucks and they have to show up to city, county, or state offices.

This is one of the stupidest things I bothered to partially read in a while, but for shits and giggles, I'm now curious to to find out what the IRS considers to be an apocalyptic event.

I'm sure the IRS employees would have their job as priority over the survival of their own family and oneself, so they can get that paycheck every Friday to cash at the bank as the earths crust is riddled with death and destruction. All to find out no businesses are open any longer, because well, it's the apocalypse.

People, some I know, have gone decades without filing or paying.
Eventually, they contact a tax lawyer and settle up.

They go after the estates of the dead, years, after demise.

Filing is important even if you don;t pay..send ten dollars, and you get on the IRS payment plan.

I have been on the IRS shit list for 20 years and it started under Bush..........I am still waiting for my 2008 Stimulus check...they said I qualifed for it but they lost the paperwork and now too late.
They have disputed my age as over 65 for 6 years...say I am not over age 65...

My late mother accidently sent in a blank check with her payment, and the IRS worker promptly took the blank check, filled it out to himself and cashed it--4 grand..IRS disciplined the man but did not fire him, and eventually my mother got a tax credit.
