Apparently, the conversation was Jeff DeWit, 51, chair of the Arizona Republican Party, asking Kari Lake, a close ally of Donald Trump, to name her price to stay out of politics for two years. 'So the ask I got today from back east was: "Is there any companies out there or something that could just put her on the payroll to keep her out?’

Lake reacts with indignation.

'This is about defeating Trump and I think that's a bad, bad thing for our country,' she said.

Later, DeWit, who was chief operating officer on the Trump's 2020 campaign frames it differently.

How many times has something like this been successful? Probably a lot IMO.

Supreme Court Justice John Roberts comes to mind. He was going to vote against Obamacare right up until he voted for it, type of thing. There have been times when a newly elected politician gets to DC and starts off looking promising and then turns into a turd. It appears that the new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson is a recent example of that.

A lot of politicians purposely lie to the people to get themselves elected I realize that. But a lot of politicians get elected and then don't carry through on their campaign promises. Is it sometimes due to these kinds of visits to bribe or coerce?

I think we all knew this type of thing happens within our government but it's shocking to actually hear it go down. Keri Lake is a brave woman and a true American Patriot for not taking the bribe and then revealing the audio.

DeWit saying that there are Cartels in all 50 states caught my attention...

Just like Donald Trump, Keri Lake should probably avoid any grassy knolls...

This happens all the time. There are never any options for Supreme Court judges by me because both parties get together and chose who they want. Last time around 5 judges got elected and only 5 judges ran. I always wrote in something stupid as a protest vote.

I like Kari Lake. But, my spidie senses kick in a bit, she seems almost too good to be true in a way, but is she trustworthy? I could be totally wrong but... It's kind of like the way I feel about Ramaswamy. No doubt either one of them in a leadership position or included in the next administration in some capacity would be far better for the US than any of the Dems. They both talk the talk.
