Your question is too broad. It's not that simple. Different pistols, even the same models may have different likes. Same with calibers, different calibers different likes. Lots of factors can impact accuracy
For jacketed handgun bullets, I tend to prefer Hornady XTPs. They're a good value, being that they're controlled-expansion hollow-points for around the same price as FMJs. When I want cheap, I go for coated hardcast bullets from Missouri Bullet Co.
For my rifles, I also like Hornady. The Interlock has worked well in my .270, both on paper and for effect on a deer. I love the VMax in .300 Blackout, but I'm about to try the Barnes Tac-Tx for the first time in hopes of using it next hunting season.
I also shoot a pretty moderate amount (an hour or two every week or two) and enjoy the process of handloading, so I don't mind spending a little more on components to make ammo that's better than factory. If I was just trying to pump out a ton of cheapo ammo to shoot a lot, I'd probably stick to coated hardcast bullets.
I shoot a lot of lead, mostly in handguns but also in 30-30. Some I powder coat some are lubed and gas checked, all depends on the gun/fps. Most rifles are loaded with jacketed.
