On Thursday’s edition of “CBS Prime Time,” Siva Gunda, a public member of the California Energy Commission said that the state must “double and triple down on building the renewables and clean energy resources” but will need more storage and also needs load reduction programs that will automatically lower air conditioning and stop appliances.

Dickerson then asked, “And those load reduction programs are not just sending out texts to tell people not to turn on the lights — or to turn them off…but they are automatic systems that, given a signal, will lower the air conditioning, stop the washer, and do it automatically, is that what you’re essentially talking about?”

Folks my Chinese ex wife saw this movie for the first time . She proclaimed that the same thing happened to her Grandmother. Had a big house in China and they gave her one room ...Moved several families in the other parts. Everyone ate in the government run kitchens. Had community baths. So if it is called global warming how come California is the only one having this issue? I can tell you why it’s because 28% of the electrical grid is green energy.
They can fuck off and no matter what I won’t install a wifi programmable thermostat. My wife just told me I should buy a spare normal one before they are gone. Also how can they force you to use your car battery to power the grid. Do they not realize they are only rated for about 15,000 power cycles and then the battery will be no good? I will wrap my appliances in a faraday bag if needed to prevent this.

I just want to know when they will start to tell sue we need to turn our thermostats down at night in February in NYS. Want to know what I do when it’s really cold in NYS, I turn the temperature up to 73 just incase the power goes out or my furnace breaks.

PREPPING BARELY SAVED ME - MOST OF MY CITY STILL HAS NO ELECTRICITY OR WATER!​

Power went out from my town all the way to Las Vegas during a horrible heat wave. No power for anyone and there was a water mane break during the outage. 115+ degrees, no water, no electricity. How did I do? Not good. Since you couldn't behave yourselves and be polite, comments have been turned off for this video. Note that I can only run AC for 3 hours on a full battery, or the refrigerator for 24/7 without draining the battery. I chose the refrigerator so I could continue to make ice to keep cool instead of completely draining the
