If thats true, every pork farmer in the country will be trying to meet those incredibly ignorant standards. The double edge sword is, sell the product at a much higher price to mexifornia, which will in turn reduce the amount consumed, and then the farmer has to reduce their price in order to get sales back up to where its profitable again? the old, vicious circle
once again, people that neither work the industry nor have vested interests in it are directing those that do on how it shall be done... We see it here ALL the fucking time, be it Dairy, Meat, Fruit, or vegetable, NYS has it's bureaucrats dictating how the Fams shall be operated... Fascism anyone?
