So sadly I haven't actually done any of that stuff.

Buttt with that being said from what I have actually learned about the Canik guns is they are surprisingly decent guns especially for the price.

My only knock on them is they are from Turkey and well their governments financial helping of some terrorist organizations. But with that being said the guns seem to be solid and the Turks seem to know what they are doing when making guns

I've shot and fondled a Canik before. Good pistols, nice trigger, good ergros. Seems to punch above its weight. Feels a bit PPQish honestly.

I have a Canik TP9SF Elite. Their Glock 19 size variant. The trigger is on par with the PPQ, but not as good as the CZ P10. Ergonomics are good, build quality is great, shoots pretty flat, and it's very accurate. Great bang for the buck.

my friends has one , not sure what model but its in 9mm .. its been customized to be a race gun .. so the springs are not OEM ..
if you shoot it and let you wrists take the recoil it will stove pipe .. you have to stiff arm shoot it so all the recoil goes straight back into your
shoulders .. if the muzzle raises up to far .. stove pipe ..

he just did his first pistol comp few weekends ago .. took 17th out of like 45 - 50 shooters ..

You sure I didn't say "trigger snob"? I think there is an overemphasis placed on trigger feel of poly framed strike fired guns. I am basing that off the fact I shoot my Glock 19 better than my PPQ. The PPQ has a lighter and much crisper, cleaner trigger feel than the Glock. The Canik I shot seemed remarkably similar to the PPQ in its grip and trigger feel overall ergros and its tendency to flip more than you'd think a 9mm ought to.
If a person like the PPQ then they would probably like a Canik too.

I think the grip on the PPQ is much better than the Canik but Pod is right, the triggers are very similar.

The trigger is definitely better than my VP9. The SFX is the 5" competition version. The SF non Elite is the full size, and I forget what the SA is. One of the versions has a wierd extra trigger safety so watch out for that one. I think it's the TP9SF Elite S with the extra safety.

Search online you are guaranteed to find a good deal on a Canik.

Questions

1) first real time shooting a glock?

2) low left?

It may not be the sights (could) but it may be you, and that could be just because you dont know the grip angle just yet. It's actually fairly common for "new shooters" to shoot glocks low left. And if this is your first time actually spending any real time behind a glock that could also be the issue.

Did you have anyone else shoot the 19? Were they also able to replicate the groupings at that distance?
