I fear that their are too few Americans that are ready, willing and able to really embrace the suck that may be coming.

The point I was making .. These TDS folks were very close to Trump...They really have no idea. None at all. They think yelling, screaming and getting in peoples faces is winning.
I hope, I really hope that the events of the last few months sets off something that will not be stopped for years to come.

Black shirt guy is almost certainly on his security team, I've seen those arms many times.Guy in the black shirt also makes hand signals right before Charlie was shot.
I've seen several people saying something along the lines of "I don't know why this is affecting me so personally."
Its because in Charlie you see yourself, the most polite version of yourself, the most articulate, the most charitable to your enemies. And even that wouldn't be enough to save you from them.
I'm surprised by how much this is affecting me. I'm normally quite detached from deaths that aren't really, really, really close to me.
A tidbit from an article someone linked in the closed thread might speak to why:
I don't know about seeing myself, but what I did see in Charlie was an overwhelmingly decent man who spent his entire career engaging in incredibly polite civil discourse with anyone who wanted to talk. He was shockingly patient and willing to listen, and he was willing to admit when he was wrong.
But I don't think it's the personal side. I feel like what I witnessed today was the death of America. If we can't have polite civil discourse to talk about our issues, then America is lost. There's a part of me that's saying "alright, fine, we tried that. If this is how they want to play, fine, let's do it."
I'm not shocked by the bullshit we're seeing on far-left forums. I am absolutely appalled by House Democrats shouting "no" when a moment of prayer was suggested. I don't see us righting this ship without watering the tree of liberty, if you know what I mean. I don't want it to come to that, but I fear it already has. And I am incredibly sad over that.
Why was my post deleted? absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah, sure. Whatever you say pal. Personal insults because a douche needs to be put in check for saying stupid and appalling shit.I'm only perosnally seeing this now, but clearly because it violates the rules of the forum. No mystery there. Personal attacks/insults to other member; same reason various posts were deleted from this and the thread closed it seems.
Kind of hilarious really for multiple people to be calling from someone's ban for thier speaking an opinion they don't like when those same people went crying literally for no other reason than that they're receiving the 'censorship' of not being allowed to call people obviously innapropriate/societially unnaceptable slurs.
So, literal hate speech, racism, etc is ok , but saying someone isn't sad someone else is dead isn't protected.. riiiight, got it.
Anyway, thread merged and reopened

How many “ first punches “ do they have to throw before shit gets real?Thank you my friend. Thank you for sharing this. Not often that we share deep like this on the forum, I for one appreciate your post.
Kind of odd.... He created and ran "Turning Point".... Maybe today's events will be the "Turning Point"/
Yup. Starting to resemble the early 1860s again alright. We are living in the 60s all over again.
