Cheek rest?

I'm still in the planning stage for making an AR-10. I had occasion to hold one, it was pretty much a stock item for all outward appearance, except it had a scope. Now I am planning to use a RED Dot, but the height off the receiver will be about the same. There is no way I could shoot consistently accurate in that configuration. I will definitely need some kind of cheek rest so the head isn't wandering around trying to find the sight. Preferably one with some adjustment to it. Who makes a good rugged, quality rest, Iv'e done some searching but a picture can only tell so much.

If its an A2 stock you could always go with a piece of closed cell foam and lots and lots of electrical tape. Ive seen several people do this to get the exact height they want for very little money.

If you have the money to spend you could always get a fixed stock with adjustable cheek riser like a Magpul PRS.

I think an adjustable stock would suite you best. But if your going to stick with an A2 stock you can make your own or buy one. I use one on my bench gun from BlackHawk. No compliant on my end works as advertised.

Thank you fellows. I guess one of my thoughts is to have an adjustable rest that doesn't interfere with the charging handle.
Stock would be fixed position.
