This is the problem... the media makes their names public, shows their faces, and digs into the "WHY". WHY did they do it??? This gives these typically powerless kids power. Then everyone knows who they are and WHY they did it.
Stop putting up their names, stop showing their pictures, and stop answering the WHY. Then, punish them SEVERELY, and make THAT known.
I have been saying this for years. Not only for these school murderers, BUT all mass murders, or attempted mass murders.

George Brauchler, the district attorney for Colorado’s 18th Judicial District, which covers Douglas County, asked the media to “adopt a no-notoriety approach.”

I disagree. Sets a bad precedent. Punish the people that committed the act. Your solution is in line with "safe storage laws" that forces law-abiding citizens to keep their guns locked up. So in the unfortunate event of a home invasion will have to politely ask the burglars to wait while you retrieve your gun from a locked safe. You need to think rationally, not emotionally.

I agree with this at large, however I don't think people need to have a God in their lives to be good people. I was raised Catholic but I am not practicing, nor am I overly religious. To oversimplify it, I believe organized religion is just another form of people control. Although without any control there's no way we would have a civilized society.
