CHICAGO (CBS) — A Cook County judge and her 3-year-old son were carjacked at gunpoint late Thursday night in Humboldt Park.

Police said, around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a 52-year-old woman was pulling into a garage of a home in the 1500 block of North Campbell Avenue, with her 3-year-old son in the back seat, when two men approached.

According to an internal CPD report obtained by CBS 2’s Brad Edwards, the woman, who is a Cook County judge, was forced out of her car at gunpoint, and robbed of her purse and phone.

Robbed of purse and phone. This means that this Judge will get to experience first hand the agony that lies ahead when victims are robbed. I am speaking of the countless hours spent in getting new credit cards, changing all the auto pays she has set up. Changing passwords that are now compromised. The (people in need) that stole her shit, AKA Thieves are now in possession of her digital life, credit cards, phone info etc. Maybe the next time she has a perp found guilty who was crying that I just needed that stuff because I have been oppressed by our society, she will remember the pain involved to the victim and hand out maximum sentences.
