Why shoot the dog or why did the cops kill him?

I would think if you are told "don't touch the gun" and you touch the gun then the cops are going to shoot you.

From the article, it said that Parks shot the dog not the troopers. Once the dog was shot, the troopers shot him. I am betting that this guy had been drinking.

Obviously he picked up a gun after being told not to, then he shoots the gun.If I am the officers, I shoot.How the fuck do I know where that shot went? All I know is I'm not hit so I fire.Absolutely a good shoot.

Sounds like a shitty situation, but based solely on the sketchy reporting so far, it sounds like the officers response was reasonable.

I would be interested in more background on the guy though, what brought him to that point ?
