If I were a "gun company" CEO I would refuse to attend. I would also make public statements regarding the witch-hunt these Congress-critters are involved in, specifically calling out that the company doesn't make "weapons of war" since that is a made-up term, and wrap up the speech with a hearty thanks to the politicians for instilling so much fear into the American people that they feel the need to get something to defend themselves.

The way I see it, the government should've have any business in why or how they are making money as long as it is legitimate and they are paying their taxes. Meaning it's a legitimate business. Period.

The business has no control in how their products get used. This can be said for any business (eg: car company for example).

This is classic government overreach.
