I had a .444 Marlin - 18" barrel, factory porting and Microgroove rifling.

Damn lever gun would shoot 1" 5-shot groups all day with Remington "Green Box" and using a Leupold 2-7X heavy reticle scope.

Used Buffalo Bore 270 grain for Bambi - picked 1 spike up and tossed it 15' broke both shoulders, obliterated the heart.

Sold it to pay the tax-man...

This is a mid '70s woods beater. Finish sucks but functionally perfect.
I may just paint it this spring.
