First "Red Flag" in NY already issued

Oh boy did they use a good opening case to show how they really are just doing this to help

NY judge uses ‘Red Flag’ law to confiscate guns for the first time

Ummm....this had nothing to do with "red flag" laws, really. It was just common sense:

Robert King, 51, was arrested last week, accused illegally possessing and firing a pistol in Columbia County earlier this month, hitting a parked car in New Lebanon.

Shortly after his arraignment, police say he made a comment about harming himself. Authorities heard the comment and filed an extreme risk protection order against King. His guns were temporarily seized on September 4th, pending Friday’s hearing.

Medical professionals would already be required, by oath, if not by statute, to report a person who plans to harm themselves or others.

This "seizure" is based on pre-existing statutes.

the SAFE ACT and RED Flag laws have saved lives!
