Florida sheriff defends remarks on gun control after arrest of 2 teens | CUOMO
The homicide of three teenagers in central Florida has led to the arrest of 12-year-old Christopher Atkins and 17-year-old Robert Roginson, with a third teenage suspect on the loose. The two kids have been charged with first-degree murder of the three teenagers. During a news conference announcing the arrests, Sheriff Billy Woods made a point to mention gun reform, telling media, “All the guns laws we got in place didn’t prevent it, did it?” Defending his remarks, Woods told NewsNation society can do better, but not at the expense of violating the U.S. Constitution. “There are things you cannot compromise,” he said.
