If you want to talk about something undetectable, we could talk about ethics or integrity in Albany.......which come in parts and are virtually undetectable....
Yup. them undetectable ghosts are a problem. FUCS
Did this bill pass, what is current state? Grandfathering, etc. of those who have one? Not that anybody here does.
So, the original bill I linked here that was in line with Cuomo's new year pronouncements is stuck in committee. That bill would have basically banned home gunsmithing entirely and required registration of any unserialized homemade guns and made 80% lowers illegal without grandfathering. It looks like it might have lost support but my only basis for saying this is that the governor is now talking about his budget bill and sticking his agenda in the budget in classic New York fashion.Did this bill pass, what is current state? Grandfathering, etc. of those who have one? Not that anybody here does.
So I'm sure the state will have a website and database all setup immediately to support this, right? Also you must serialize your unfinished frames or receivers within 30 days (otherwise, D felony) with a state-registered and assigned number.
I'm talking about the enacted budget (which passed), not the budget agreement. The legislature has already gone home. It's not impossible that it could still pass, but if the governor wanted this done he'd mention it, and it won't happen without him. If you have a friendly senator and assemblyperson like I do then write to them to help make sure it doesn't happen, otherwise I think the best thing we can do about this for now is shut up and let them forget about it. The COVID-19 mania is going to be taking over for a long time, and as long as the D's control all our state government the best we can hope when they come back to fussing about guns again this won't be as important.Just because it was not part of the budget agreement does not mean the legislature won't take it up. It is being heavily lobbied by Everytown. It depends when the legislature goes home, if they end early or go al the way until June.
You have to go a little deeper into the neighboring state. I haven’t had such issues. Next time you drive up to Sullivan, bend a left into Matamoras/ Milford on I84 W and you can buy all the ammo you need.No they won’t. I get ID’d all the time in neighboring states and subsequently denied sales for even small amounts of ammo.
They're just stretching their legs and seeing how it feels having the whole state under one thumb. Wait till they get used to it. They have already shown the state and federal constitutions mean nothing to them, whats a little unraveling of precedentBudget bills cannot contain anything other than appropriations. There is no gun control in them. That is in a separate bill they passed A-9505B/S-7505B.
What is odd about this bill is 1.) it is listed as a budget bill when it should not be and 2.) it goes against the rule about putting unrelated items into one bill. I don't recall the legislature doing this before.
They'll take your home, possessions and maybe career. What happens when a significant portion of the serfs get together, issue a loud collective FUAC, and stop paying? Asking for a friend...
