Gosh dang post office lost my restriction letter!

So two times now this one post office has fucked me. The first time, they lost a money order that i sent to buy a gun off of Gunbroker. Called the guy and asked when he was gonna send the gun, and he said he never got the money order. WTF? So i have to wait thirty days to do an inquiry then up to 60 more til all is said and done. So 2.5 months later i get the gun... After having to spend money on the inquiry AND another money order. F me.

Today i call the PPO inquiring about my restriction removal letter since its been 5 months. They have no record of it. Sonsa bitches! Both of these things were sent out of the post office near where i work. I've never had this happen before, now twice from the same office? Could be a coincidence but damn. Now i gotta do the whole application over again, and wait who knows how long. What a pain in the ass.

Send with travking if it is important to you.

When ever i send a money order for larger denominations i use tracking.

Once i had to wait the 60 days for $2500 worth of MO. That hurt!

Tracking don't mean anything except for letting you know it's lost. Sent MO via certified mail and it was lost for over 60 days before it eventually showed up. I sent a regular envelope across town less than a mile away and it took 4 weeks to arrive. I sent a check for some magazines 5 weeks ago and it never arrived. You wonder why the postal service is loosing money? I don't.

I've never had a problem before this. As far as i know anyway. I've never had anyone tell me they didn't get what i sent them. I'm definitely not going to use this post office again, i can tell you that.

The USPS is a fine example of how the government can really screw up even a relatively basic service. Give me a private carrier any day.

I'll never forget an early eBay sale I had. Sent USPS. Didn't buy silly "delivery confirmation", as I was stupid enough to assume me paying you sort of included the assurance the item actually got there.

Days go by and the scam artist buyer takes me to the woodshed. Sees no DC and simply files a claim of "not received." I go to the post office and ask what's up. They say "Yes, we can confirm the item was delivered. But you didn't pay for DC, so you're out of luck." Buyer got the item and a full refund.

Update: So a week after i called, i went down to the PPO since i had to add and remove a couple guns anyway and the lady asked if i got the letter yet. I said to her "i thought you guys never got it?" She said it was up with the judge. Awesome I'm thinking. Fast forward a month in a half, still nothing. Go to the PPO again, to add a couple and she asks the same thing. This time she agrees to take a new copy of the form i filled out that i was going to give her LAST time. Wtf?
