I have two; one marked as a Sig and the second as a Colt. Both made by GSG in Germany. Both are great guns. Accurate and reliable with good quality .22 ammo. Less reliable with the bulk packed cheap stuff.

From what ive been told understand most are made by Sig.
x2, I only have the sig version though.
I saw them going for 200 ish on gun deals recently.
Mage by GSG. There were some with the sig name.

I have the Sig FDE version. The sights are kind of wonky but the gun is otherwise reliable and eats everything I feed it pretty reliably.

I assume you are talking about the 1911 clone looking target gripped model? I know a couple of people who have them. Do yourself a favor and buy the accurizing kit at the same time, worth the extra few dollars.
I personally own a GSG 1911 conversion kit. It runs ok, though shoots high and to the left like many of the .22 conversions I've seen. Good enough for plinking, I'd say.
If you already have a 1911, I'd look into the Kimber conversion for either the full size or the commander size guns.
If you want accuracy... A S&W models 41, 21, or Victory, Ruger MK I, II, III, IV in any configuration will be more accurate.
If you have throw away money, the Volquartzen pistols are your game. Based on the Ruger MKIV, I think. Pretty much a race gun in .22 LR.
