Gun (AR 15) Accessories

I've been searching for some information and stumbled across this forum so I thought I'd ask here. So I've recently bought my first AR 15 and now I fell in love. It is an Armalite Eagle 15 (mag is pinned). I'm trying to avoid breaking any laws but I'm having trouble finding any information. I have looked at the sticky thread on laws and did not find what I was looking for, although that is a great reference. My concern is buying accessories and in the future building my own AR. Mainly what I can and can not buy online and have shipped to my house instead of an FFL. My current understanding is that I can not buy a lower online and be shipped to my house, it has to go to an FFL. Other than that I'm not too sure. I currently am interested in just getting a forward grip and maybe changing out the stock for my current AR and then I want to focus on building another AR which I will probably look/post in another forum to get some info on what to look at getting. I also plan on going to my local gun shop and asking there as well just havn't had the time to go recently.

Everything but the lower receiver can be shipped to your house.

Take the time to research and learn about NY gun laws, not the unSAFE Act website. The website is not the law.

In general, if mag is fixed you can have any feature you want. If mag is detachable you can’t have ANY features (muzzle break, pistol grip, forward grip, adjustable stock, etc.) as that would make the rifle an assault weapon as per NY law.

You can have any accessories shipped to you directly. Stripped lowers must go through an FFL as they are considered the firearm. If you build your own be sure it’s compliant before final assembly.

Thats when I first got it. All I have on it is a riser, red dot and a sling. Guess I havn't taken any picture since then. Too busy shooting it!

Yeah I did my research on what I can and can not have if mag is pinned vs not before I bought it. I just went through and read article 265 I think it was, which I got from the sticky on this thread. Thanks for all the awesome feedback, got a little busy yesterday and couldn't respond to your comments. I have bear arms speed reloaders. They work pretty well but I do want to try others out so thanks for posting that. I will probably have another post on here in a few weeks looking for some opinions to see what to look for when building an AR.
