H&K semi auto MP7 may be on the import horizon.

Looks like H&K has either submitted a semi auto version of their MP7 to the ATF for import approval and is waiting to hear back.. OR they already have been approved for import and sales and just haven't announced it yet..


Downside for us here in NY is that the MP7 is over 50oz so would still be a no go for us.

not to piss in your cheerios but that gun will be outrageously over priced and the ammo will be impossible to get. Right now Midway has the ammo for $50 for 40 rounds. Not exactly your cheap plinker

Well to speculate price..

Their SP5 they just started importing not that long ago is about $2,900

So the mp7 (if this is happening) is probably going to be in that ball park price range I bet

I have a hard time justifying that cost for a pistol in an oddball caliber.
To be fair I think its an awesome gun and would love to have it, BUT I would put it in the same category as the FN FiveseveN, looks awesome fun to shoot but impractical for a poor like me. Probably most working people too.

I don't think this is going to be a pistol per say. My findings when searching for the mp7-sf showed that the UK police are using this as a standard service weapon.

$1 a round doesn't scare me if its utilitarian, I ran two separate classes with round counts 500 or better last year in the height of the crunch. Also I doubt highly 4.6x30 was ever 10 cents a round.

I'm not a hater at all, I own HK's, I just look at it guns practically. Its just my opinion and fun to debate but if someone wants to buy a $3k gun with impossible to find ammo, it wont effect me at all.

Fact is, its hard to find 5.7 in stock anywhere let alone 4.6, and the 5.7 has been on the civilian market longer.
