Unfortunately had to give up membership (reluctantly) at gun club a few years ago because I couldn't afford dues. He said he has some friends whose dad's belong I said if we're invited we can shoot no problem. May run up to my buddy's place in Lake George can shoot whatever we want there. Just thrilled kid wants to shoot! I've always been a proponent of taking the mystery away from them at a young age may have overdone myself lol. Going to be 18 in a few months and only now has asked lol...

Not sure where you live but Blue Mountain Sportsmen range is located just south of Peekskill. It’s a public range, I haven’t been there in awhile but it used to be $11 per hr for pistol range (NYS permit required). They have rifle, trap also

Yeah I've been there for training a fee few times thanks.

@cgrutt if your up Lake George way I can always have you and your son as my guest at my Club in Greenfield Center, just down rt 9n. I'm retired now so just about any time would be good.

My youngest (25) took a couple of days off in February and flew down to see me for my birthday. We spent several hours at a range with my ARs and some pistols.

He liked the red dot on my 320.
